Island Lake Classic
The Island Lake Classic is an annual running event held at the scenic Island Lake Conservation Area in Orangeville, Ontario. The 13th edition features 5K and 10K runs on groomed trails with natural highlights such as the Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail, bridges, and forest views. The 10K is a mostly flat loop with beautiful vistas, while the 5K offers a more challenging course with single track and rolling hills.
A kids' fun run is also available. The event promotes environmental responsibility by being cup-less and supports local conservation efforts. Participants receive medals and running socks, with awards for top finishers and age groups.
