Island Lake Classic 2026 : Orangeville, ON
The Island Lake Classic takes place on September 7, 2026 at Island Lake Conservation Area in Orangeville, Ontario. The event is offered as both a live race and a virtual run. Admission to the park is free for participants and volunteers. The event is presented by GottaRunRacing and lists several sponsors and a fundraising partner, the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation.
Distances and course details
- 10K - approximate one-loop route around Island Lake, mostly flat double track with bridges and lake vistas.
- 5K - approximate 5 km route featuring single-track rollers, flat double track sections, slopes, and forest views.
- Virtual Run (Canada) - mailed package includes a custom medal and cooling buff; domestic shipping via Canada Post.
- Kids Fun Run - approx 200 m, for children aged 10 and under; parent must register child at kit pickup.
Logistics, services and awards
Pre-race kit pickup is available the day before at Cycling Elements in Orangeville and additional kit pickup is available on race morning. The event is cup-less and will provide water stations (one on the 5K, two on the 10K at about 4 km and 8.5 km). Timing is chip-based, provided by Enfield Timing. Finishers receive a medal and a custom 2026 swag item. Overall 1st–3rd male and female finishers are acknowledged and age-group prizes are awarded across standard age brackets. No race day registrations and no refunds. Fundraising for the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation is active with a stated goal of $2,000.
