About the race
The Irmo Okra Strut is an inaugural community 5K Run/Walk held on September 26, 2026 at the Irmo Village Shopping Center, 7571 St Andrews Road, Irmo, SC 29063. The event is part of the town festival and finishes at the Okra Strut parade.
The course is USATF certified and described as flat. Results are chip timed. Registered participants are guaranteed a race t shirt and a finisher medal for registrations completed by September 8, 2026. Post race refreshments and festival activities are provided at the finish area.
Registration opens March 1, 2026 and closes June 1, 2026. The registration fee is $35.00. There is a limited virtual option available for the first 25 registrants.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers, and to the top three male and top three female in age divisions 19 and under, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, and 65 and over. An award for Best Team Spirit is also listed.
