Irish BYU Championship 2026
This is a backyard-style running event held at Florence Court in Fermanagh, Ireland. Competitors run repeated laps of a set course of 4.17 miles. Each lap must be completed within one hour; a new lap begins on the hour and repeats until only one runner remains. That final runner is the Irish Champion 2026.
The course runs on paths through the forests of Florence Court. The route is flat at the start, then rises through trees toward the halfway point and descends downhill to the finish. Only fully finished laps count. Usual Backyard Ultra rules apply and only participants may act as pacers.
Entry details in the event information list a minimum age of 16, an entry fee of €90, and entry dates from 11 April 2026 to 1 August 2026. The event is organised by Hellevation Running. All finishers receive a medal and every participant receives an event t-shirt. Runners who reach 100 miles join the Hellevation Running 100 mile club and receive a 100 mile club hoodie.
