Irish American 5 & 10k Road Race, Malden MA
The event on September 7, 2026 offers two road race distances in Malden, Massachusetts.

The course is described as mostly flat and winds through Malden’s Edgeworth neighborhood, skirting the Malden-Medford border. The route is well marked and supported by volunteers and police escorts. Water is available on course and at the finish line.
Race entry fees follow a staggered pricing schedule: Early Bird (May 15 through June 30) 5k $35 and 10k $40; Regular (July 1 through September 6) 5k $42 and 10k $47; Race Day (September 7) 5k $45 and 10k $52. The entry fee includes race entry for the chosen distance, a race T-shirt (sizes not guaranteed), entry to the after-party, and two drink tickets.
Teams that register 15 or more runners by August 31 qualify for team perks and a group discount; once a team reaches 15 registered members, each team member will be refunded $5. Team perks include a tent for gear, snacks, and water and beer at the tent (beer not provided for high school or college teams). There are team awards for Fastest Team, Largest Team, and Most Spirited Team.
Medallions are awarded to first and second place finishers, male and female, in the following age groups: 17 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Malden Warming Center. Music, entertainment, food, and beverages are available for participants and spectators. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
