Irish 5k (Tour de Patrick: Race 1)
The Irish 5K is scheduled for March 7, 2026 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, with the event area located near Roosevelt Avenue and Main Street. The event includes an in-person 5K run/walk, a kids race for children 12 and under, and a virtual participation option.
Event distances:
- Kids Leprechaun Run - about 1/4 mile, ages 12 and under
- Irish 5K Run/Walk - 3.1 miles
Parents may run with children in the kids race. Walkers are welcome in the 5K. Pets are not allowed and strollers must start in the back for safety. Virtual participants are eligible to count the event toward race series standings and may pick up race shirts at a pre-race packet pickup or have shirts mailed after race day.
The Irish 5K is the first leg of the Tour de Patrick, a three race series held across Rhode Island during March. Participants who complete all three races receive Tour de Patrick items including a finisher medal and socks, and full tour registrants receive all race numbers and shirts at the Irish 5K packet pickup.
Post race gathering information notes a meetup at Azul Tequila Bar (formerly Murphy’s Law) at 2 George Street in Pawtucket with live music and a cash bar. Awards are given to top overall finishers and age group winners, and a team award is scored by chip time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
