Irish 5K (Race 1, Tour de Patrick) : Overview
The Irish 5K is scheduled for March 7, 2026 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The event is presented by RunRhody and takes place near Roosevelt Avenue and Main Street, with a listed race location at Pawtucket City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Ave. The race day includes an in-person 5K, a kids race for children 12 and under, and a virtual 5K option. The event supports the Pawtucket Soup Kitchen.
Events, registration and logistics
- 5K: 3.1 miles
- Kids Leprechaun Run: ~1/4 mile (ages 12 and under)
- Virtual 5K option available; virtual participation counts toward the Tour de Patrick series and other RunRhody series.
Entry fees vary by registration period. A full three-race Tour de Patrick bundle is offered, with bundled discounts and a finisher’s medal and socks for people who complete all three races. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled at Marathon Sports in Providence; race day packet pickup is at the Blackstone Valley Visitor’s Center in Pawtucket. Race t-shirts are provided to pre-registered participants; shirts are not guaranteed for walk-up registrations. Pets are not allowed and strollers must start at the back for safety.
Awards and post-race
Individual awards are given to the top three overall and to age-group winners across standard age brackets. Overall awards are scored by gun time; age groups and team awards are scored by chip time. A post-race gathering is planned at AZUL (formerly Murphy’s Law) at 2 George St. in Pawtucket, with live music and a cash/card bar; identification is required. Refunds are not offered.
