Iowa Hope Run
The Iowa Hope Run is an annual event held in May in Des Moines, Iowa. The event brings runners, walkers, families, and supporters together to raise awareness and funds for brain tumor research and patient support. The 2027 event is scheduled for May 8, 2027, and takes place at Water Works Park.
Proceeds benefit organizations that provide research, resources, and direct support to patients and families, including Dragon Master Initiative and National Brain Tumor Society. The event is community-led and volunteer-driven, with a mix of in-person and virtual participation options.

Registration and payment processing are handled through RunSignUp, which processes registration and payment information securely. Packet pickup is available the Friday before the race at Merle Hay Mall, with additional limited pickup available on race morning. Parking access for the event is from George Flagg Parkway, with parking in a designated grass lot and handicap-accessible parking available.
Participants receive an official event T-shirt, a finisher medal, and post-race refreshments including fruit and beverages. Participants in the 5K and 10.1K receive a bib with chip timing. Volunteer roles are available, and a Virtual Runner option is offered for a registration fee of $35, which includes an event T-shirt.
