Iowa Hope Run - Brain Tumor Awareness Race
The Iowa Hope Run is an annual, community-led event held each May in Des Moines that focuses on brain tumor awareness and support for affected families. The event is volunteer driven and brings together runners, walkers, families, and supporters to raise funds for nonprofit partners.
The event takes place at Water Works Park, 2201 George Flagg Parkway, Des Moines, Iowa 50321. Participants are asked to enter the park from George Flagg Parkway; parking is provided in a designated grass lot and handicap-accessible parking is available. Packet pickup is held in advance at Merle Hay Mall on the Friday before the race to reduce race-morning lines.

- 2K Walk
- Kids Fun Run
All registered participants receive an official event T-shirt, a finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. Participants in the 5K and 10.1K receive bibs with chip timing. Virtual registration is available and includes an event T-shirt. Strollers and smaller bikes are permitted in the 2K Walk and 5K; those using them should line up behind runners. Well-behaved, leashed pets are allowed if they are comfortable around large crowds.
