Event Overview
The Instant Classic takes place in Denton, Texas on Saturday, September 5, 2026. The event is held at North Lakes Park.
Distances
The event features six different distances:
- Kid's Dash (a free, short sprint of 100-200 meters)
- 1 Mile
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
- Virtual Option
Registration Details
Registration includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a finisher medal cube for the 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, and 15K distances. Those who register by August 15 are guaranteed their t-shirt size.
Age group awards are given for the 5K, 10K, and 15K events. Awards are presented four deep in each division, covering male and female categories from 0-4 up to 80+. Overall awards are also given for top male, female, masters (40+), and grand masters (60+) runners. All awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped. The 1 Mile event is untimed and does not offer age group awards.
A virtual race option is available, with the shirt and medal shipped directly to participants the week of the race.
Other Information
A free Kid's Dash is offered for children. Volunteers can earn a code for a free race entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
