Event Overview
The Instant Classic is a multi-distance running event held at North Lakes Park in Denton, Texas. Scheduled for September 5, 2026, the event features several competitive and non-competitive options:
- 15K (3 laps of the course)
- 10K (2 laps of the course)
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Kid's Dash (100-200 meters)
The 1 Mile event is an untimed option intended for those new to racing or those who prefer a social walk. The Kid's Dash is a free short sprint for children to experience a racing environment. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual race option is available where materials are shipped to the participant.
Registered participants in the 5K, 10K, 15K, and 1 Mile receive an event-themed t-shirt and a finisher medal cube. Age group awards are available for the timed 5K, 10K, and 15K distances, with medals awarded four deep in divisions ranging from under 4 to 80 plus. Special overall medals are also provided for top male and female finishers, as well as Masters (40+) and Grand Masters (60+) categories. All awards are distributed on-site at the venue.
