About the race
The Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival is a multi-day trailrunning event in Innsbruck, Tirol, scheduled for 05.05.2027 - 08.05.2027 and organised by Laufwerkstatt. It combines a festival programme with a range of trail races that traverse alpine terrain around Innsbruck.
The festival includes an expo, a race magazine, a cheering bus and several side events. Information for participants covers mandatory equipment, aid stations, start number distribution, safety, travel and accommodation and sustainability topics. Volunteers support event operations and backstage tasks throughout the week.
Races on offer span short technical trails to multi-stage ultra routes, including a pursuit-format elite race called Trail Hunt with a total prize purse of 30 000 EUR. The Young Talents Race is aimed at U23 athletes and follows varied mountain trails with views over Innsbruck. The Business Trail is organised for three-person teams and is scored in women, men and mixed categories.
