Inner City 5K : Sunday 2 August 2026
Inner City Running Club hosts the annual Inner City 5K on Sunday 2 August 2026 in Dublin, sponsored by Dublin City Council. The event is the club's sixth annual run and forms part of a weekend of activities that includes a dedicated kids race held the Saturday before. The main event is based at Henrietta House, Henrietta Place, Dublin 1.
The race is a 5-kilometre event run on a lapped inner city route designed to keep runners within a controlled area. Previous events attracted nearly 2,000 participants, and ticket availability for this edition is limited. There will be no expo this year.
All registered participants receive a shirt and a medal. The event programme includes refreshments and live entertainment, with musicians, a DJ and other acts. Course services include water provided at the end of the route, portable toilets at the start and finish area, and first aid stations along the course. A bag drop is available on race day and race numbers are posted rather than collected in person.
