Logistics and rules

The event includes gender-specific race shirts and finisher medals, and lists well stocked aid stations. A mid-race drop down option exists: 55k starters may drop to the 15-Mile at the 15-Mile point and receive a finisher award and 15-Mile time; 50-Mile starters may drop to the 55k at the 55k point and receive a finisher award and 55k time. No drop down is allowed for the 5-Mile or 15-Mile. The 50-Mile permits one pacer on the final loop; pacers must sign a waiver, wear a pacer bib, and carry a headlamp. Drop bags are allowed only at the start/finish area. Camping is available for a fee with limited space; tents and limited camper vans or rooftop tents are allowed, no trailers. Parking is limited and may require fees; vehicles with fewer than two registered runners may face a parking charge. The race operates under permits from federal and local land agencies.
