Indian Creek Trail Runs
The Indian Creek Trail Runs take place at Indian Creek Campground in Sedalia, Colorado on October 17, 2026. The event is the oldest official race of HPRS and is also known as the annual Fall Classic. It uses seldom used single track trails in the Front Range and travels through lower and upper montane ecosystems.
Participants move through lodgepole pine forest at about 6,000 to 8,000′ with aspen groves, and descend to lower montane areas near 5,000′ characterized by tall grasses and red rock formations. The route passes viewpoints that offer visible city skyline glimpses, red rock formations similar to those at Red Rocks Amphitheater, and occasional views of nearby 14ers. The timing in mid October highlights seasonal color changes, including golden quaking aspen, red scrub oak, and amber prairie grasses.
Available race distances include:
- 5.5 Miles
