Indian Creek Trail Runs - 13th Annual
The Indian Creek Trail Runs is a multi distance trail event held at Indian Creek Campground in Sedalia, Colorado. The event includes the following distances:
- 50-Mile
- 55k
- 15-Mile
- 5-Mile
Combined runner capacity is 225. Time limits are 14 hours for the 50-Mile and 55k, and 12 hours for the 15-Mile and 5-Mile. The course uses seldom used single track trails that pass through lower and upper montane ecosystems, including lodgepole pine forest at about 6,000 to 8,000 feet, aspen groves, and lower montane areas of tall grasses and red rock formations around 5,000 feet. Runners will see views of the nearby city skyline, Red Rocks type rock formations, and occasional distant 14ers. This event takes place during fall color season.
Aid stations are described as well stocked. Included items listed for entrants are a gender specific race shirt and a finisher's medal. There are mid-race drop down options for the 50-Mile and 55k that allow finishing at a shorter distance and receiving a finisher award and official time; no drop down is available for the 5-Mile or 15-Mile. Drop bags are permitted at the start and finish area only and are available to runners when they return to that location.
Camping is supported on a limited basis by the organizer and requires a reservation and fee. Parking and crew access are limited and may incur fees; crews are discouraged and have restricted access. Weather can be highly variable and a snow date is identified for significant accumulation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
