The Independence Day 5K / 1 Mile takes place on July 4, 2026 in Marksville, Louisiana, at 711 Paragon Pl. The event occurs before the day's festivities at the annual Arts & Music Festival.

Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes June 21, 2026. The registration fee is $25. Register by June 20 to be guaranteed a race day T-Shirt.
The 5K features divisions for Youth Girls 17 and younger, Youth Boys 17 and younger, Women 18-39, Women 40 and older, Men 18-39, and Men 40 and older. The 1 Mile Youth Run includes Girls 10 and younger and Boys 10 and younger.
Packet pickup takes place Friday, July 3 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Mari Center, and on July 4 at the entrance to the RV park from 6:00 am until the race begins. Participants may wear July 4th attire to show patriotic spirit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
