Impact Road Race

The fourth annual Impact Road Race takes place at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama. This event features road courses for all participants. The 5K and 10K races are timed and USATF-certified, providing an opportunity for participants to qualify for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race.

The available distances include:

  • 10K (6.2 miles)
  • 5K (3.1 miles)
  • 1 Mile Fun Run

The 1 Mile Fun Run is a non-timed event that uses the same course as the 5K route. All races are conducted on open roads, requiring participants to remain aware of their surroundings and avoid blocking vehicle traffic.

This event serves as a fundraiser for Seeds of Impact, a non-profit organization focused on providing parenting education and support for mothers in recovery. Financial proceeds are used to assist parents in breaking generational cycles and maintaining healthy family relationships.

Recognition and amenities include finisher medals and awards across 14 different categories. Gift card prizes are designated for the top overall male and female finishers in the 10K and 5K distances. A race event t-shirt and swag bag are provided to the first 125 individuals who check in on the day of the event, with sizes subject to availability. Additionally, all runners and walkers are eligible for sponsor prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
