Event Overview
The Bound for Boston Marathon and Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Northfield High School in Denver. It features in-person marathon and half marathon distances, as well as virtual options for both. The total event is capped at 150 participants, with a focus on being a small event.
Course Details
The course is a certified, flat one-mile loop around the school grounds. The full marathon course is USATF-certified, making it an official Boston Marathon qualifier. Timing is chip-based at the start and finish, with a chip-timed split and a displayed clock at every mile mark. The course closes four hours after the start.
Support and Amenities
There will be two aid stations on the course. One provides water and bananas, while the other is for participants' personal aid items, which they are welcome to bring. The event also provides water and an electrolyte drink. All participants receive a finisher medal and a race shirt, with size guaranteed for those registered by July 24. Awards are given in standard 5-year age groups for both distances.
Additional Information
Participants can pick up their race packets on the morning of the event. The event has a no-refund, no-transfer, and no-deferment policy.
