Illinois State Fair Parade Run
The Illinois State Fair Parade Run is scheduled for August 13, 2026, at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, IL. The event marks the 35th running of this race and uses a course that begins inside the fairgrounds and proceeds out the front gate along the parade route, with parade spectators lining the way.
The course distance is two mile and follows the parade corridor through the fairgrounds area. Post-race refreshments and an awards ceremony take place in the Village of Culture on the fairgrounds.
Race packet pickup is scheduled the day before at the Springfield Running Center, 2943 West White Oaks Drive, Springfield, IL. Limited race day packet pickup will be available at the fairgrounds in the Village of Cultures; participants using race day pickup are responsible for fair admission.
A virtual option is offered for race day volunteers only. Virtual participants may run or walk the two miles at a location of their choice and may submit their time beginning on race day through the event results page. Virtual entries appear in the results but are not eligible for age group awards. Race packets for virtual participants will be available for the same pickup options as in-person participants; packets will not be shipped.
