Illinois State Fair Parade Run
The Illinois State Fair Parade Run is scheduled for August 13, 2026 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, IL. The event uses a two mile course that begins inside the fairgrounds and proceeds out the front gate along the parade route. Spectators line the route.
Race packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event at the Springfield Running Center, 2943 West White Oaks Drive, Springfield, IL. Limited race day packet pickup will be available at the fairgrounds in the Village of Cultures; participants using race day pickup must enter the fairgrounds through normal admission procedures. Race packets for virtual participants will be available for pickup with in person packets.
There is a virtual option restricted to race day volunteers. Virtual participants may run or walk the two mile course at a location of their choice and submit a time beginning on race day; submitted times are accepted for one week after the race date. Virtual participants appear in the published results but are not eligible for age group awards.
Post race refreshments and an awards ceremony take place in the Village of Culture following the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
