Illinois Homecoming Run : Urbana, Illinois
The Illinois Homecoming Run is a Homecoming week event that includes an in-person three-mile run and a virtual 5 km option. The in-person route goes from the east end of Anniversary Plaza at 1401 W Green St to the Alice Campbell Alumni Center, where a post-race gathering will include food, drinks, the Marching Illini, and other guests. Participants listed for the event include students, staff, faculty, alumni, community members, Illini fans, and families.
Registration details vary by entry type. Registration opens on July 8; in-person registration closes on September 27 and virtual registration remains open through Homecoming week, closing on October 4. To be guaranteed a race t-shirt for the in-person event, registrants should enroll by September 2. Entry fees listed are $20.00 for the in-person run and $5.00 for the virtual option. Virtual participants may run, walk, or roll the course during Homecoming week and should note that shirts, race bibs, and timing chips are not provided for the virtual entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
