Illini Dads Weekend Saturday Morning 5k
The Illini Dads Weekend Saturday Morning 5k is a community running event held at the Arboretum during Dad's Weekend (Nov 6–8, 2026). The event brings together fans, students, and father figures for a morning of fitness and community activity on campus grounds.
This 5k is one of several Dad's Weekend activities organized by the Illini Dads Association. Proceeds from Dad's Weekend events support grants for University of Illinois students. The run is presented as a daytime, campus-centered activity tied to other weekend events such as tailgating, athletic contests, concerts, and brunch, creating multiple opportunities for families and students to spend time together while visiting the university. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
