Iggy's Freedom Run

Iggy's Freedom Run takes place in Ocala, Florida, following a course that begins and ends at Veterans Memorial Park. The route is designed to wind through quiet, tree-shaded residential neighborhoods in the southeast section of the city. The park is situated east of 25th Avenue, between East Silver Springs Boulevard and SE Fort King Street.

The event features an awards presentation where winners are recognized three deep in five-year age groups. Parking for participants is available at the Ocala Public Library parking lot, which is adjacent to the Veterans Park.

The event maintains a specific policy regarding pets. For safety and insurance reasons, dogs are not permitted to participate in the race or accompany runners and walkers on the course. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are permitted to remain with spectators along the sidelines, provided they do not enter the race course. Registered service animals are exempt from this policy.
