About the race
Icebug Xperience West Coast Trail is a three‑day stage event in the Ramsvik area of Bohuslän on the Swedish west coast. The race covers a total of 77 km over three separate courses that feature cliffs, narrow forest trails, seaside villages and beaches. Participants register for all three stages; completing every stage is required to receive a total time.
The event offers three starting groups: Walk, Jog and Run. The Walk group typically takes about four to six hours per stage. The Jog group mixes walking and running and is popular with youths and dogs. The Run group is recommended for those with prior trail experience. Daily transfers to and from stages are provided by bus and Zita boats and are included in the entry fee.
Race Village is based at Ramsviks Camping and includes the race office, pop‑up store, repair tent and post‑stage activities. A vegetarian lunch made from local organic ingredients is served after each stage. Energy stations are placed roughly every 5–7 km and offer water, sports drink, bananas and baked goods. Showers are available after stages one and three.
Mandatory equipment includes a race bib, ankle timing device, minimum 0.2 litres of fluid per stage, at least 250 kcal of energy, shell jacket or safety blanket, first aid kit, whistle, foldable cup and a mobile phone.
