I thought this was a good idea 5K
This event is the first annual 5K held in Front Royal on 09/26/2026 to benefit Hope & Rest Temporary Shelter, a local winter shelter that provides a warm, safe space. Registration opens 07/14/2026, closes 09/19/2026, and the registration fee is $45.00. Registration includes a shirt or tank; shirt orders close with registration on 09/19/2026 at 11:59pm.
The course starts and finishes at the Skyline High School parking lot at 151 Skyline Vista Drive and passes a dog park. The route follows Kerfoot Ave, Salem, Luray Ave and West Criser before returning to Skyline. Runners will encounter both uphill and downhill sections and will have views of the river and surrounding scenery. The race is timed by 5 Runners Racing. Strollers are welcomed.
Event amenities mentioned by the organizer include goodie bags for registrants, medals for all finishers, trophies for top finishers, and 50 Cent beer tickets for participants 21 and older sponsored by On Cue.
