Virgin Active HYROX Cape Town : Event overview
Virgin Active HYROX Cape Town takes place 26 March 2027 to 28 March 2027 at Convention Square, 1 Lower Long Street, Cape Town City Centre. It is scheduled as the first HYROX event of 2027 and is described as the final event in the 26/27 season to earn qualification slots for the PUMA HYROX World Championships 2027.
The event package includes an individual finisher time with split timings for each workout, live leaderboard results during competition, and the HYROX finishers patch. Age group award ceremonies are held in each division and certain age groups can qualify for World Championship slots. Aid stations are provided before, during, and after the event. Spectators can view racing from the Thunderdome and there is a HYROX Entertainment Zone with partners. Professional race photos are available for purchase.
Important athlete race information will be added before the event and individual start times are linked approximately three days prior. Registration on-site opens for each division 90 minutes before the first start wave of that division. Athletes must bring ID; checking in on behalf of others is not allowed, and during the race weekend check-in is possible only on the competitor’s own race day. The event includes a charity fundraising option with four impact areas: Global Health, Climate Solutions, Mental Health, and Women’s Empowerment.
