About the race
Virgin Active HYROX Cape Town is scheduled for 26 March 2027 to 28 March 2027 at Convention Square, 1 Lower Long Street, Cape Town City Centre. The event is presented as the first race of the 2027 season and a final opportunity in the 26/27 season to secure qualification slots for the PUMA HYROX World Championships 2027. Important athlete information will be published ahead of the event. Individual start times are to be linked approximately three days before the event; a provisional start time schedule is available for planning.
On-site registration for each division opens 90 minutes before the first start wave of that division. Athletes must bring ID and may not check in on behalf of others. During race weekend, check-in is possible only on the day of competition for that athlete. On-site race services and event features include the HYROX finishers patch, live posting of result times on the leaderboard, individual finisher times with split timings, age group award ceremonies, qualification slots for certain age groups, aid stations before, during and after the course, a Thunderdome viewing area, an HYROX Entertainment Zone, and opportunities to purchase professional race photos.
A Race for Impact charity option allows participants to fundraise for one of four impact areas with a target above €500. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
