About the race
Virgin Active HYROX Cape Town takes place 26 March to 28 March 2027 at Convention Square, 1 Lower Long Street, Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town 8001. It is scheduled as the first HYROX event of 2027 and is presented as the final opportunity in the 26/27 season to secure qualification slots for the PUMA HYROX World Championships 2027 for certain age groups. Event information and important athlete race details will be posted in the lead-up to the event; individual start times are linked approximately three days before the event and provisional start schedules are provided for planning. On-site registration for each division opens 90 minutes before the first start wave of that division.
Athletes must bring ID and checking in on behalf of others is not permitted; race weekend check-in is only possible on the day of competition. On-site services and race features include the HYROX finishers patch, live posting of result times to the leaderboard with individual finisher times and split timings, age group award ceremonies, aid stations placed before, during and after the course, a Thunderdome viewing area, an Entertainment Zone with partners, and opportunities to purchase professional race photos. The event also supports a Race for Impact charity option with fundraising targets above €500 and four impact areas: Global Health, Climate Solutions, Mental Health, and Women’s Empowerment.
