Event Overview
The BYD HYROX APAC Championships - Brisbane takes place over two days at the Brisbane Convention Centre. This event includes the Regional Championships for the Asia-Pacific region alongside standard HYROX races. The championships are open-entry events, meaning no qualification is required for athletes from the APAC region to compete in the Open Weights Divisions. However, participants must be citizens of countries within the designated APAC region and provide valid government-issued ID; temporary visa holders are not eligible.
The Regional Championships serve as a qualification pathway for the World Championships. It is the only race type where athletes can qualify for World Championship slots in the Singles Men/Women or Doubles Men/Women categories without competing using Pro weights.
Race Divisions and Schedule
The event features a variety of divisions scheduled across the weekend:
- HYROX Men and Women
- HYROX Doubles (Men, Women, and Mixed)
- HYROX Adaptive (Men and Women)
- HYROX Relays (Men, Women, and Mixed)
- Elite 15 Pro Doubles (Men and Women)
The provisional schedule indicates that the Regional Championship waves typically take place in the morning sessions, followed by standard HYROX Brisbane waves in the afternoon. Elite 15 Pro Doubles are scheduled for Saturday evening, while the Relay divisions conclude the event on Sunday evening.
