Hydration Guy High Five
The Hydration Guy High Five is the inaugural timed 5 Miles running event produced by Pace Yourself Productions. The course begins at the Bakline Flagship store in Gowanus and runs through Cobble Hill into Red Hook before returning to the start for an out and back route that turns at Valentino Pier. The route includes crossings of the Gowanus Canal, a stretch up Smith Street, a pass by Cobble Hill brownstones, the BQE pedestrian bridge, and sections through industrial Red Hook ending at the waterfront.
The event is timed so participants can race, run at tempo, or take it as a fun run. Hydration is provided on course, including two hydration stops, and the entry includes timing, post race hydration and snacks, plus a hydration related giveaway. There is an optional add on for the inaugural race shirt.
The route is not on closed streets; directionals and marshals will be at turns and key intersections. All participants run at their own risk. A portion of each entry fee will be donated to Fast Feet NYC. The turnaround at Valentino Pier is noted as a photo opportunity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
