Hyde Park Blast

Hyde Park Blast is a community benefit event held in Hyde Park Square, Cincinnati, OH on June 27, 2026. Proceeds support local cancer charities, including The Cure Starts Now. Since 2001 the event has donated more than $600,000 to Cincinnati cancer charities and has been named a Best of the East winner.

The program combines running and cycling events with community activities such as live music and a block party. Key events include a 4-mile run/walk that starts west of Hyde Park Square and finishes in the Square, a Kids Fun Run organized by age groups, a criterium cycling race with pro competition, and an Elite 5K run conducted on the criterium bike course. The Elite 5K requires an application to the Cincinnati Track Club and has time qualifications of Men 17:00 and Women 21:00.

Distances and formats

• 4-mile Run/Walk, scenic loop through historic Hyde Park
• Kids Fun Run, age groups with distances from 0.1 to 0.7 miles
• Criterium Cycling Race, including pro class races
• Elite 5K Run on the criterium bike course with time qualifications

Registration and logistics are handled online or on race day. 4-mile registration fees are $40 early bird through March 31, $45 after March 31, and $50 after June 23. Registrations after June 12 are not guaranteed a shirt size; shirts are guaranteed only at packet pickup. Kids Fun Run race day registration is $20 and includes a t-shirt and medal. Packet pickup takes place at Fleet Feet, 3235 Madison Rd, Cincinnati, OH. The Blast is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by a volunteer board.
