Event Overview
The Hyannis 2 Triathlon will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The event is based at Craigville Beach in Centerville, Massachusetts.
Event Format and Distances
The event offers multiple formats. The Individual Sprint and Individual Olympic are standard triathlons. Other categories include Sprint and Olympic Relay Teams, Sprint and Olympic Aquabike (swim and bike only), a Sprint Duathlon (run-bike-run), and an Olympic Aquathlon (swim-run). A virtual option called "Tri It Your Way" is also available. Participants in the virtual category can complete the distances on their own, with suggested minimums of a 10-mile bike and a 5K run, and submit their results.

- Sprint Triathlon: 1/4 mile swim, 10.2 mile bike, 3.6 mile run.
- Olympic Triathlon: 0.9 mile swim, 20 mile bike, 6.2 mile run.
- Sprint Duathlon: 1.4 mile run, 10.2 mile bike, 3.6 mile run.
- Aquabike: Distances match the Sprint and Olympic triathlon swim and bike legs.
- Olympic Aquathlon: 0.9 mile swim and 6.2 mile run.
Event Details
The race is USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned. Results count toward national and regional rankings, and USAT rules apply. A valid USAT membership or a one-day license is required to participate. This event also serves as a 2026 USA Triathlon Massachusetts State Championships Ranking Point Event. Massachusetts residents can earn points toward the state championship by participating in this and other qualifying races. All events are open to participants aged 13 and over.
