Swims are along the shore of Nantucket Sound, typically with water temperatures in the high 60s to low 70s; athletes remain close to shore, and the swim is lifeguarded with safety boats. The bike courses follow a single loop through Centerville, Osterville and Wianno with rolling hills. Run routes include gradual climbs and a finishing downhill stretch; aid stations are staffed along the run courses. Aquabike and aquathlon are recognized disciplines by USA Triathlon for ranking purposes.
The event is USAT sanctioned. Competition categories include age group divisions, first-timers, casual friends and family entries, elites, Clydesdale/Athena divisions with weight minimums, para triathletes, and relay teams. Parking near the transition area is provided as part of registration and spectator parking is free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
