Hwy 6/34 Series - Stop 1: Ax-Fest 5K at Thunderhead Brewing
This event is the first stop in the Tap to Tap: 6/34 Highway Series. It takes place in Axtell, Nebraska at Thunderhead Brewing, 201 F. Ave., 68924. The race distance is a 5K and the course is described as flat and fast through the heart of Axtell.
Two registration options are offered for the circuit. The Full Series Pass provides entry to all four stops and includes an official series shirt and the exclusive 6/34 finisher medal awarded at the final stop; purchasing the Series Bundle reduces total registration cost by $40. Single race entries are available for individual stops. Every finish earns a town specific enamel pin and a post‑race pour.
The 2026 circuit schedule lists four stops:
- June 13: Axtell at Thunderhead Brewing
- July 11: Minden at 52 Taphouse
- August 8: Hastings at First Street Brewing
- September 12: Holdrege at Lost Way Brewery
Registration for this Axtell stop opens April 14, 2026 and closes June 9, 2026. The registration fee for this individual race is $40. After the run, the event offers light lager sampling and on‑site mobile axe throwing lanes as part of the Ax‑Fest activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
