Peacock Challenge 50K (PC)
The Peacock Challenge is an ultrarun organized by HURT, Inc., held on trails in the Kuaokala Forest Reserve above Dillingham Airfield in Waialua, Oʻahu. The event is intended for experienced, well-prepared runners and is not an entry-level race. The course features steep climbs and descents, heat and humidity, occasional rain, and long sections on exposed ridges and forested single-track above the northwest Oʻahu coastline.

The 50K course includes about 6,400 feet of elevation gain and loss and is roughly 76% single-track trail and 24% asphalt road. Trail surfaces are mostly packed soil with rocks, puddles, mud wallows, and vertical embankments in places. The race is cupless; runners must carry their own bottle or collapsible cup. There will be a minimum of three aid stations, and aid locations may change if weather prevents access.
Runners must download the course map to a GPS-enabled phone or watch for offline use and maintain adequate battery life. Mandatory equipment includes a phone-based map; a warming space blanket and safety whistle will be provided at check-in; a light with spare batteries or a second light is required for late-day conditions. Entrants may use trekking poles, must stay on the main trail to protect endangered plants, sign in on race morning, display their bib on the front of the body, and check in and out of aid stations for tracking and safety. One drop bag is permitted and will be transported to Long Road Aid Station. Race management may remove runners for safety or rule violations.
