Hurricane 5K
The Hurricane 5K takes place in Rincon, Georgia, at the City Club at Lost Plantation. The event features a course that follows a paved golf cart path through the grounds. The location is situated approximately 14 miles from the Savannah airport and 18 miles from historic downtown Savannah.
Participants can choose from the following distances and categories:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- 5K Ruck
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The event uses chip timing provided by Endurance Race Services. All registered participants receive a customized race medal upon reaching the finish line. Those participating in the 5K Ruck also receive a custom designed patch from GoRuck. Local sponsors provide refreshments for participants, including coffee, donuts, and food cards.
Proceeds from the event support the Coastal Homeschool Athletic Association cross country team. These funds are used for various team requirements, including race fees, uniforms, insurance, athlete recognition, and equipment.
