Event overview

The Hurricane Hundred K is a trail running event at Meeks Mountain Trails in Hurricane, West Virginia, held Saturday, September 19, 2026. The event offers a solo 100K and a three-person 100K relay. The race uses a 10.3-mile loop repeated six times; solo runners see their crew between each lap. Registration is limited to 150 runners.

Course and support

The course is 100% single-track mountain trail with about 1,500 ft of climbing per loop, roughly 9,000 ft total for the 100K. There are two aid stations: one at the start/finish and one on-course at about mile 5 of the loop. Aid stations provide water, electrolytes, soda, ice, sweet and salty foods, and at the central aid station additional hot items and gluten-free options. Pacers are permitted for solo runners on the last two loops.

Entry, awards, and logistics

Solo 100K prize money totals $10,000 with specified awards for the top three men and women and a $1,000 course record bonus. Relay teams compete for hand-crafted team awards. All entrants receive event swag including a zip-up sweatshirt, a finisher award, and a tote; solo finishers receive a belt buckle. Registration fees follow tiered pricing and refunds are available at decreasing rates before specified deadlines. The race headquarters and crew area are at the shelter in the back of the bowl at Meeks Mountain Trails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
