Hurricane Hundred K
Hurricane Hundred K takes place September 19, 2026 at Meeks Mountain Trails in Hurricane, West Virginia. The event runs entirely on single-track mountain trails and is organized as looped laps around the trail system.
Distances
- 100K solo, six laps of 10.3 mile single-track loop
- 100k Relay three-person teams, each runner covers roughly 20 miles
The race command center, crew pit, and team area are located at the shelter in the back of the bowl. Solo runners meet their crew between each lap. Pacers are permitted for solo runners on the final two laps. A firm cutoff for starting the final loop is enforced for participant and volunteer safety.
Prizes and awards include a total purse of $10,000 for solo 100K entrants with specified payouts for the top three men and women, plus a course record bonus. Relay category winners receive hand-crafted awards. All solo finishers receive event swag including a hoodie, finisher award, a sponsor tote, and a Hurricane 100K belt buckle for solo finishers.
The race is Trail Sisters approved and provides female-specific provisions including equal prize allocation, dedicated swag, feminine products at aid stations, and equal starting line space. Registration is limited to 150 runners and follows tiered pricing; a 15% discount is available to active military, veterans, first responders, and family members with a specified code.
