Course and logistics
All courses begin and end at the Huntington Federal Shelter at the back of the bowl, about a 15-minute walk from the parking area. Routes run on hand-built, single-track trails with rocks, roots, and rolling terrain. Participants will cross active train tracks to reach the start/finish area; the crossing will be marked and monitored by safety volunteers. Water and sports drinks are available on course; the 5k has one aid station and the 10-miler is served three times. The 10-miler has a 3-hour time limit. Bathrooms and portable restrooms are provided.
Registration, awards, and rules
Registration is limited to 125 runners for the 10-miler and 125 for the 5k. Early bird and standard fees apply; registrations are final with no refunds. A two-person team option adds the two finishing times for team results; team winners are not eligible for overall individual awards. Awards are given for overall and age-group placings in the 10-miler and 5k. Safety and EMT personnel will be on call. Rules include keeping trails clean, no headphones, and being aware of other trail users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
