Huntsville Slam
The Huntsville Slam is an endurance challenge organized by the Huntsville Track Club that requires completion of four designated races held in Huntsville, Alabama between November and January. The four qualifying events are Dizzy Fifties 50K on November 21, 2026; Rocket City Marathon on December 13, 2026; Recover from the Holidays 50K on December 31, 2026; and Mountain Mist 50K on January 23, 2027. Each event takes place at locations in Huntsville.
Participants must register individually for each of the four required races and also register separately for the Huntsville Slam. Slam registration closes December 5, 2026 and is non-refundable. No late entries will be accepted.
Rules state that no substitutions or alternate distances are allowed and only the four listed races qualify for the Slam. Each event must be completed within its official time limit. All finish times will be verified after each race to confirm eligibility. If a participant does not finish one of the races or fails to register for one of the required races, the participant is not eligible for the finisher award.
Runners who complete all four races receive a custom embroidered finisher garment such as a jacket or pullover. Finisher awards will be available for pickup at the Mountain Mist finish area inside the lodge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
