Huntington Sprint Triathlon : Bay Village, Ohio
The Huntington Sprint Triathlon is held at Huntington Beach in the Cleveland Metroparks Huntington Reservation along the Lake Erie shoreline in Bay Village. The event offers a single individual sprint triathlon distance; there is no relay option.
The race comprises these segments:
- 750 Meter Swim
- 13.1 Mile Bike
- 3 Mile Run
The swim is an open water start at Huntington Beach. The bike course travels through Bay Village and Avon Lake and is not closed to traffic; police and volunteers will monitor the course. The run route passes through Bay Village neighborhoods. The transition area and finish line are located south of Lake Road near the Huntington Playhouse, providing a centralized venue with spectator access and a post-race gathering.
The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and limits participation to 400 athletes. Registration benefits listed for competitors include a custom race shirt, a custom finisher medal, a required Grit Races swim cap, RFID chip timing, and awards.
