Humpty Dumpty Balmoral Burn
The Humpty Dumpty Balmoral Burn is a fundraising running event held on Awaba Street in Mosman, NSW. The course runs up Awaba Street’s 420-metre incline and is organised to raise money for children’s health and hospital equipment.
The event began when a local resident proposed running up Awaba Street to raise funds to thank Royal North Shore Hospital and to help paint a children’s ward. From that first effort it returned annually and grew into a regular fundraising occasion.
By 2026 the Balmoral Burn marked 25 years of events and has raised more than $36.5 million to support sick children in hospital. Funds have helped provide medical equipment to hospitals nationwide. The Humpty Dumpty Foundation is associated with the event and coordinates fundraising activities linked to the run.
