Humane Society Fast & Furriest 5K and Walk

This event is a 5K run and walk presented by Hollywood Feed. It supports the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County. The organization provides care for animals in the community.

The event takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The location is the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County at 935 Farm Rd in Memphis, Tennessee. On race day, packet pickup and registration opens at 6:30 AM.

Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers. The top male and female master (age 40 and over) also receive awards. There are additional awards for the top three males and females in 15 different age groups.

Participants can purchase a special sign to be placed along the race route. For a $30 donation, a sign can honor or remember a person or pet. These signs are text-only and approximately 12 by 18 inches in size.

Parking is available at several nearby locations. These include areas behind the Shelby County Road Department on Haley Road and at the Memphis-Shelby County Code Enforcement building on Mullins Station Road. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
