Event Overview
The Hub City Hustle Triathlon is a sprint-distance triathlon. The event will be held at the Heritage Subdivision in Oloh, Mississippi.
Distances and Divisions
Participants can choose from several event divisions:
- Individual Age Group Division: A triathlon covering a 600 yd swim, a 21.3 mile bike, and a 3 mile run.
- Beginners Division: A triathlon with a shorter swim of 300 yds, followed by the same 21.3 mile bike and 3 mile run.
- Duathlon: Consists of a 2 mile run, a 21.3 mile bike, and a 3 mile run.
- Clydesdale and Athena Divisions: Weight-based categories for the triathlon.
- Relay Teams: Available as Male, Female, or Coed teams.
All events are open to participants aged 12 to 100.
Course Details
The bike course is a 21.3-mile out-and-back route on county roads, starting with a left turn onto Purvis Oloh Road. The run course covers 3 miles within the Heritage Subdivision. A practice bike ride is typically offered on a Saturday in late September.
Awards and Additional Information
Cash prizes of $100 are awarded to the fastest male and female swimmer, biker, and runner. Custom-made prizes are provided by a local Mississippi artist. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon, and all USAT rules are enforced, including mandatory helmet use. Packet pickup is held at a bike shop in Hattiesburg on the Thursday and Friday before the race, and also on race day at the venue. A photo ID is required for packet pickup.
