HPEF Back-to-School Community Run
The Hoboken Public Education Foundation Back-to-School Community Run takes place at Pier A, Sinatra Drive in Hoboken on September 27, 2026. The course route is to be determined. The event includes multiple running options and a kids fun run.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run/Walk (timed)
- 5K VIP option with additional donation
- 1 Mile Run/Walk along Sinatra Drive
- Kids Fun Run, approximately 100 meters
Registration for listed events includes a race t-shirt and race bib. Registrants prior to August 15 will be guaranteed a race shirt; organizers will make reasonable efforts to accommodate later entries. The 5K VIP registration includes an additional donation to the Hoboken Public Education Foundation. Fees vary by event.
The Kids Fun Run is open to children age 2 and older. An adult must be present with registered children at all times. Age group arrangements: ages 2 and 3 run with a parent, ages 4 and 5 have an optional parent-guided run, ages 6 and up run independently if able. The Kids Fun Run is recommended for children 10 and under.
Awards will be presented to overall winners and to winners in each age group. All event proceeds will benefit the Hoboken Public School District. HPEF is a parent-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that funds programs for the district. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
