HPEF Back-to-School 5K
The Hoboken Public Education Foundation Back-to-School Community Run takes place on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Pier A, 100 Sinatra Drive, Hoboken, NJ. The specific route is to be determined. The event program starts with a Kids Fun Run, followed by a 1 Mile Run/Walk, and concludes with a timed 5K.

Registration fees listed by the organizer include $30 for the standard 5K, $75 for the 5K VIP, $20 for the 1 Mile, and $10 for the Kids Fun Run. Registration for each event includes a race t-shirt and race bib; registrants prior to August 15 are guaranteed a race shirt. Awards are planned for overall winners and for each age group. All event proceeds will benefit the Hoboken Public School District.
The Kids Fun Run is open to children age 2 and older. An adult must be present with registered children; this is not a drop-off event. Age guidance from the organizer: ages 2 and 3 run with a parent, ages 4 and 5 may run with a parent, and ages 6 and up run independently if able. HPEF is a parent-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting Hoboken public schools. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
