HPEF Back-to-School 5K
The Hoboken Public Education Foundation Back-to-School Community Run offers a set of family-oriented races at Pier A and along Sinatra Drive in Hoboken, New Jersey. The program includes a timed, USATF-certified 5K, a 1-mile run/walk/stroll, and a Kids Fun Run of approximately 100 meters. All event proceeds will benefit the Hoboken Public School District. Awards are given to overall winners and to competitors in each age group.
Registration for several event categories includes a race t-shirt and a race bib. Registrants who register prior to August 15 are guaranteed a race shirt; organizers will make reasonable efforts to accommodate entries up to race day. A VIP entry option includes a t-shirt, race bib, entry into giveaways, and an additional donation to the Hoboken Public Education Foundation.
The Kids Fun Run is open to children age 2 and older. An adult must be present with registered children at all times; this is not a drop-off event. Age-specific guidance is provided for the Kids Fun Run so younger children may run with a parent or a parent may guide the child.
HPEF is a parent-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises private funds to support and enhance programs in the Hoboken Public School District. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
