Howl'oween Trick or Trot 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run
The Kiwanis Club of Lima organizes the Howl'oween Trick or Trot, a community event in Lima, Ohio that combines in-person races, virtual race options, and a virtual pet contest. The in-person race location is on the west side of Faurot Park on Rosedale Drive in Lima.
The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Proceeds support Kiwanis Service Leadership Programs that benefit children and residents of Allen County and work with local schools to develop student service leadership clubs.
Event details include awards and participation items. For the 5K, awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall and the top three in each male and female youth age group: 10 and under, 11-14, and 15-19. The 1 Mile Fun Run is an untimed run or walk and the distance can be modified for participants who need it. All participants in the 5K receive a glow in the dark finisher medal and the Fun Run offers glow in the dark medals to early registrants. The event also features a Virtual Pet Contest that benefits local animal welfare agencies including the Humane Society of Allen County, Deb's Dogs, and A Lotta Love Pet Rescue.
