Howlin' Moon 2026
The Howlin' Moon is an annual Claire Lilienthal School community running event scheduled for October 24, 2026 at Little Marina Green in San Francisco. The event brings students, families, teachers, friends, and neighbors together to run, walk, cheer, and support the school community.
Races offered:
- 1K: untimed, open to all ages
- 2K: timed, for students in grades K-8, medals by grade
- 5K: timed, open to all ages, medals by age group and by grade for students
The morning includes a group warm-up, music, festivities, post-race snacks, and an awards ceremony. The 1K is untimed and noncompetitive; the 2K is a timed student race with grade-level medals and parents may run alongside without eligibility for awards; the 5K is a timed course open to students and adults with age-group awards.
Registration opens on 2026-08-31 and closes on 2026-10-24. Listed registration fees for each event are:
- 5K: $34.56
- 2K: $27.94
- 1K: $18.00
Race entry includes a limited-edition Howlin' Moon T-shirt featuring student artwork, a participation ribbon for every runner, and the opportunity to earn medals in the timed races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
