About the race
The Howl-O-Weenie 5k is a Halloween-themed running event held in Orchard Park, NY on October 18, 2025. It features a 5K for adults and a 1/2 mile Kids Run for ages 7 and under. The USATF-certified 5K course winds through Orchard Park neighborhoods near Runners Roost.
Costumes are encouraged, with a new Costume Contest this year. The first 225 registrants receive a long-sleeve shirt; proceeds benefit FeedMore WNY and the Boys and Girls Club of Orchard Park. Awards go to top male/female and masters, with medals for kids.
