Hoveton Summer 10k
This is a guided trail run of approximately 10 km near Hoveton, scheduled for 12 June 2026. The run starts close to the train station and follows a mix of surfaced and natural paths.
The route initially follows the Bure Valley Railway, crosses open countryside and descends to the river at Coltishall. It then follows the river for a stretch before returning across fields to Hoveton. The organisers note the distance is intended to be 10 km but may be slightly over or under in some circumstances.
Runs are organised into groups by ability and are led at a conversational pace. A fully qualified and experienced run leader will guide participants. The stated experience level is EASY, aimed at runners moving from road to trail running or those seeking a relaxed paced trail run.
Terrain is mostly flat with tracks, hard-packed trails and grassy fields and few obstacles; road running shoes are expected to be adequate unless there has been heavy rain beforehand. The event allows around two hours for the session, but actual duration will depend on group ability. There is free parking nearby and the start is at Hoveton and Wroxham Station, making train access possible from Norwich. The entry fee is £12.50.
