Event overview
The Hotcake Hustle takes place on January 10, 2026, at Red Tail Pavilion in Plano, TX. The routes run through the Oak Point Nature Preserve and include both in-person and virtual options. Distances offered include:
- 10K course (approximately 6.2 miles)
- 5K course (approximately 3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (untimed)
- Virtual Run
Amenities, logistics and virtual details
Registered participants receive a long sleeve race shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a race bib. The event includes free pancakes and hot chocolate for finishers, an after-party with music, a beer garden for those 21 and older, free parking, and bag check. Packet pickup is available on dates in early January 2026 at local running stores and at the Red Tail Pavilion on race day. Virtual participants can run anytime and anywhere; virtual packets are shipped starting the week of January 12, 2026, and virtual results can be uploaded between January 10, 2026, and April 25, 2026.
Awards and discounts
Awards are given 1st–3rd overall male and female, 1st overall masters male and female, and top 3 male and female in age groups from 9 and under through 80+. A $5 discount is applied automatically for youth ages 8 and under, seniors 65 and older, and groups of four or more in the same transaction; these $5 age/group discounts do not apply to the Fun Run or Virtual Run.
