About the race
The Hotcake Hustle is a Run Project event in Plano, TX held on January 9, 2027. It offers multiple in-person and virtual distances that run through the trails of Oak Point Nature Preserve and start/finish at Red Tail Pavilion.

Post-race provisions include hotcakes with a gluten free option, coffee, hot chocolate, food, and beer, served at an after-party near the finish area. Standard participant items for recent editions include a custom long sleeve race shirt, a custom finisher’s medal, and a race bib; a limited-edition finisher item was produced for the 15th anniversary. One of the event merchandise pieces described is a blue enamel camping mug with a Hotcake Hustle logo.
Awards are given for 1st through 3rd overall male and female, 1st overall masters male and female, and top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 9 and under through 80 plus; awards must be claimed in person. Packet pickup is scheduled on dates prior to the race at local running stores and at the Red Tail Pavilion on race day. Course maps and interactive route files are provided for the 5K and 10K.
