Event Details
The Hotcake Hustle offers a 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk on January 9, 2027. The event takes place in Plano, Texas, at the Red Tail Pavilion in Oak Point Nature Preserve. It is the 15th anniversary of the race.
Courses and Schedule
The courses wind through the trails of Oak Point Nature Preserve. The Fun Run starts first, followed by the 5K and 10K starts. A schedule includes a pancake eating contest and an awards ceremony.
Swag and Amenities
Participants receive a custom long-sleeve race shirt, a custom finisher's medal, and a race bib. There is also a limited quantity special finisher item for the anniversary. After the race, there is an after-party with hotcakes (including a gluten-free option), coffee, hot chocolate, food, and beer.
Registration and Pricing
Registration is available online. Discounts are offered for groups of four or more, participants aged 8 and under, and participants aged 65 and older. Prices increase over several pricing periods leading up to the event. There is also a virtual race option.
Awards
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, the top overall masters male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups. Award recipients must be present to claim their prize.
Additional Information
Packet pickup is available on several days before the event at various running company locations in Fort Worth, Southlake, and Plano, as well as on race day. Free social runs are hosted before the race. The event's charity partner is the Animal Rescue Crusaders of Texas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
