HOT-TO-GO (5 or 10 miles)
The HOT-TO-GO events take place in Hurn Forest, with the location listed as Hospital Services Cricket Club, Neptune Drive, St Leonards, Ringwood BH24 2FB. The route follows forest trails on a brand new course that differs from the organiser's Starburster and Intergalactic routes.
Distances offered:
- 5 mile event, one lap
- 10 mile event, two laps
Laps are 2.5 mile out-and-back sections. The track is described as hardstanding and well maintained, so trail shoes are not essential. An aid and drinks station is located at the start and finish with a selection of savoury and sweet items. No plastic cups are provided; hot drinks are available inside the clubhouse and donations to the Cricket Club defibrillator fund are appreciated. Toilets and a space to leave bags are available inside the cricket club.
Entry fees range from £26 to £30. Twenty percent of entry costs will go to Forestry England to support forest and trail maintenance. Number pick-up takes place at on-site registration before the event and final instructions are sent by email. The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules. A three hour cut-off applies. Parking is limited near the start and a public car park is available on Boundary Lane (0.4 miles). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
