HOT-TO-GO (5 or 10 miles)
HOT-TO-GO is a pop music–themed run that uses a new trail through Hurn Forest, starting at Hospital Services Cricket Club. The course is a 2.5 mile out-and-back lap on hardstanding, well maintained track, so trail shoes are not essential. The event includes a pop-themed playlist and a themed medal.
Aid provision is described as a Run DMC aid station at the start/finish of each lap offering a range of sweet & savoury snacks and drinks, including fizzy pop. The event operates a cupless policy and does not supply plastic cups. Bag drop and toilets are available inside the cricket club; hot drinks are offered with donations to the cricket club defibrillator fund appreciated. The organiser is assisting the cricket club to fundraise for an on-site defibrillator. Twenty percent of entry costs will go to Forestry England to support forest and trail maintenance.
Minimum ages are specified: 5 mile entrants must be at least 16 years old and 10 mile entrants must be at least 17 years old. Numbers are collected at on-site registration prior to the run. The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules.
