Hot Cocoa 10K
The Hot Cocoa 10K is part of the 12th Annual Hot Cocoa Races sponsored by Sylvania Prevention Alliance and held in partnership with Olander Park in Sylvania, Ohio. The race is presented alongside a 5K and a 1 mile event.
- 10K - timed 6.2 miles open to ages 16+
- 5K - timed 3.1 miles open to ages 12+
- 1 Mile - timed 1 mile loop open to ages 8+
The 10K follows the 5K course initially, then continues on the University Parks Trail to the Holland Sylvania intersection before returning to the 5K route and finishing inside Olander Park. The 1 mile uses a one-mile loop around Olander Lake. Staggered starts are used to manage the field.
Registration opens on 6/1/2026 and closes on 2/8/2027. The registration fee for the 10K is $50. The shirt order deadline coincides with the registration close date on 2/8/2027.
Packet pick-up is scheduled at two locations in the days before the event: at Dave's Running Shop in Sylvania and at the Nederhouser Building inside Olander Park. Limited race day packet pick-up is available for participants who live more than 30 minutes away.
