About the race
Wheaton Hot Cider Hustle takes place in Wheaton, Illinois on October 25, 2026. The event offers timed and fun-run categories on a flat, crushed limestone trail through Danada Forest Preserve.
Participants may choose from the following distances:
- 5K
- 8 mile
Event gear options include a classic t-shirt or an upgraded premium thin-tec 1/4 zip. All finishers receive a 2026 finisher mug; a 5K/8 mile finisher medal is available as an add-on. Hot apple cider and caramel apples are provided at the finish line.
The run is chip-timed. Winner medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall and in each age group for both distances. Course time limits are stated for each distance. The event serves as a qualifying race for the Run Chicagoland series; completing three qualifying races yields a series finisher designation and connecting series medals.
Logistics note: on-site parking near the start/finish is limited and shuttle buses operate from off-site lots when on-site parking is full. Packet mailing is offered for a fee and packet pick-up details are provided before the event.
