Philadelphia SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Philadelphia is a city road race held at Eakins Oval with courses that run along the Schuylkill River and finish near the Rocky Balboa Statue. The event offers three distance options:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
The 5K route turns near the Historic Strawberry Mansion. Course highlights listed include the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Washington Monument Statue, and the Schuylkill River. Races are professionally managed and timed, and bibs must be worn on the front of the torso for accurate timing and corral access.
A post-race party takes place at Eakins Oval with music, vendors, and a finisher's mug served with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate. The event publishes free high-resolution photos and race times to participants after they cross the finish line. An expo and packet pick-up occur at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Hall G, before race day; packets may also be mailed for a fee.
Additional options include a Ghirardelli Cocoa Club upgrade that provides a canvas tote with single-serve cocoa, a $35 hot chocolate store credit for on-site use, VIP corral placement, access to a dedicated Cocoa Club area, and enhanced on-site amenities. Awards are given to overall and age group top finishers with prize packages and registration incentives. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
