About the race
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Philadelphia is scheduled for April 3, 2027, with the event center at Eakins Oval near the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Runners can choose from these distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
All courses run along the Schuylkill River and include city landmarks such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Washington Monument Statue. The finish area is located near the Rocky Balboa Statue, and the 5K course turns near the Historic Strawberry Mansion.
Race registration includes a swag kit that features a full-zip fleece jacket and a finisher's medal, plus a commemorative race bib. Races are professionally timed and free high-resolution race photos are provided. Live runner tracking is offered the week of the event. Packet pick-up and the Hot Chocolate Expo take place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center the day before the race; the expo is open to the public and distributes runner kits.
Post-race activities at Eakins Oval include a party with music, vendors, and a finisher's mug served with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate. A Ghirardelli Cocoa Club VIP upgrade provides additional perks such as a tote with Ghirardelli cocoa, a $35 store credit, preferred corral placement, access to a dedicated club area, and upgraded onsite amenities.
