Philadelphia SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run
The Philadelphia SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run is an annual event featuring multiple distances through the city's historic areas. The race starts and finishes at Eakins Oval, with a course that travels along the Schuylkill River and passes landmarks such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Washington Monument Statue, and Logan Square.
Participants can choose from three different distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 15 km
The event is professionally timed, and participants receive a commemorative race bib and free high-resolution race photos. All registered runners receive a runner's kit that includes an exclusive full-zip jacket and a finisher's medal. A pre-race expo is held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, where participants can pick up their kits, browse merchandise, and visit vendor booths. There is no race day packet pickup available, though an option for packet mailing is offered for a fee.
A post-race party is held at Eakins Oval near the Rocky Balboa Statue. Finisher's receive a commemorative mug containing hot chocolate and chocolate fondue with dippable snacks. The party also features music and various vendors. Overall awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each distance, and age group awards are available for categories ranging from under 14 to over 80.
