The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Philadelphia takes place on April 4, 2026, with the event base at Eakins Oval (2451 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy). The race offers three distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
Expo and packet pickup are scheduled for Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Hall G, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Packet mailing is available for an additional fee of $20.95; the deadline to add packet mailing to a registration is March 15, 2026. Free high-resolution race photos and finish times will be emailed to participants. Live runner tracking will be available the week of the race.
Course, perks and awards
All courses start at Eakins Oval and run along the Schuylkill River. Course highlights include the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Washington Monument Statue, Logan Square, and a finish area near the Rocky Balboa Statue. The 5K turnaround is near the Historic Strawberry Mansion. A post-race party at Eakins Oval will include music, vendors, and a finisher's mug with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate.
Every registration includes a full-zip jacket and a finisher's medal. The Ghirardelli Cocoa Club offers a VIP upgrade with premium Ghirardelli hot cocoa, a shopping bag with single-serve cocoa, a $35 onsite store credit, preferred corral placement, access to a reserved Cocoa Club area, and upgraded onsite amenities such as a hot breakfast item and dedicated restrooms.
Overall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance with cash and registration prizes. Age group awards are offered for multiple age brackets, including a 9-and-under division in the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
