Denver SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run
The Denver SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run is an annual athletic event scheduled for October 4, 2026, at Washington Park. The event features three distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
The routes are professionally managed and timed, offering scenic views of the Denver landscape. Runners in the 5K and 10K categories pass by Grasmere Lake and Smith Lake within the park. Participants in the 15K run along a course that parallels Cherry Creek.
All registered participants receive a runner's kit that includes a commemorative race bib and an exclusive full-zip jacket. Upon crossing the finish line, runners are awarded a finisher's medal and a chocolate fondue finisher's mug. This mug contains chocolate fondue, various items for dipping, and hot chocolate.
A post-race party is held in Washington Park, featuring music and vendors. A pre-race expo takes place on October 3 at the National Western Complex, where participants can pick up their race packets and bibs. There is no packet pickup available on the day of the race, though participants have the option to pay for packet mailing in advance.
Additional amenities include free high-resolution race photos and live runner tracking for friends and family. The event offers overall awards for the top three male and female finishers in each distance, as well as age group awards across various categories ranging from under 14 to over 80.
