Hot Chocolate Run – Denver (October 4, 2026)
The event takes place at Washington Park in Denver, Colorado. Three race distances are offered:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
The 5K and 10K courses pass two lakes within Washington Park, including Grasmere Lake and Smith Lake. The 15K course runs parallel to Cherry Creek and includes scenic mountain views. The race includes a post-race party at Washington Park with music, vendors, and a finisher mug served with chocolate fondue and hot chocolate.
Every registrant receives a race kit that includes an exclusive full-zip jacket and a finisher's medal. Free high-resolution race photos and official race times will be emailed to participants after the event. Live runner tracking will be available around race week for real-time updates.
A Ghirardelli Cocoa Club upgrade provides access to a dedicated cocoa area, Ghirardelli hot cocoa, an exclusive shopping bag with take-home cocoa, $35 hot chocolate store credit, VIP corral placement, and upgraded onsite amenities such as a hot breakfast item and dedicated restrooms.
Expo and packet pickup are scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at the National Western Complex in Denver. Packet mailing is available for a fee and must be requested by September 13, 2026. There is no race day packet pickup.
Overall awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance with cash and registration prizes. Age group awards are given to top three finishers across standard age divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
