Horwich Triathlon, Multisport & Trail Runs
Horwich Triathlon is a multi-discipline event in Horwich, Greater Manchester, on 02 May 2027. The event includes triathlon, duathlon, aquabike and aquathlon in both sprint and standard distances, plus the Pike Trail Runs of 5K and 8.6K around Rivington Pike. The organiser states the event has run for over 25 years and is known locally as The Race to the Pike or the Kona of the North.
Swim legs take place in a 25m leisure centre pool with allocated lanes and set start times. Sprint and standard swim details:
- Sprint swim: 400 m (16 lengths)
- Standard swim: 500 m (20 lengths)
Bike and run courses use local roads around Rivington Pike. Key course distances:
- Sprint bike 20 km, run 5 km
- Standard bike 37 km, run 8.4 km
Trail runs use off-road routes around Rivington Pike with mixed terrain and climbs, offered as Full Pike Trail 8.6K and Half Pike Trail 5K.
Entries include aid stations, free parking at Horwich Leisure Centre, a custom finisher medal, electronic timing, fully signed routes, free photos/video and a custom swim cap.
