Hopkins Raspberry Run
The Hopkins Raspberry Run is a community road racing event in Hopkins, Minnesota. It includes a traditional five-mile route that circles Shady Oak Lake and finishes on Main Street along the parade route for the Hopkins Raspberry Festival. The five-mile course follows the same general route used historically.
A Main Street mile was added in 2010. The mile course runs straight down Main Street, is described as flat and fast, and is USATF certified. The mile shares a finish area with the five-mile race. The event also organizes a USATF/elite wave for mile participants; eligibility includes USATF MN race circuit participation, meeting recent performance standards from prior Raspberry Run races, or permission from the race directors. USATF racers must hold a USATF membership to enter that wave.
The five-mile race enforces a course cutoff; participants who do not meet the cutoff are asked to leave the course. Scholarships are available that allow youth 18 and under to run the mile free of charge. Registration for individual events includes a fee; fees vary by event.
