Hopkins Raspberry Run
The Hopkins Raspberry Run is a long standing athletic event in Hopkins, Minnesota, with a history dating back to 1964. The event takes place in conjunction with the local Raspberry Festival, with races concluding on Main Street shortly before the festival parade begins.
Participants can choose from several distance options and categories:
- 5 Mile
- 1 Mile Open
- USATF/Elite Wave 1 Mile
The 5 Mile event follows a traditional route that circles Shady Oak Lake. This course has remained consistent over the decades, providing a scenic loop before heading toward the downtown area.
The 1 Mile events, first introduced in 2010, take place on a flat course designed for speed. This route runs directly down Main Street. Both the 5 Mile and the 1 Mile races share a common finish line on Main Street. The USATF/Elite Wave is specifically designated for participants with a USATF membership and race team affiliation, while the open mile is available for general participation.
