Hope K
The Hope K is an annual community event held in Lakeville, Minnesota. Now in its 18th year, the race takes place within the Spirit of Brandtjen Farm community. The event consists of chip-timed running distances and walking options designed for competitive runners, recreational participants, and families.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 10K
- 5K
- Kids Fun Run
- HopeWalk (specifically for HopeKids families)
The courses lead participants through local residential areas and community spaces. All participants in the 5K and 10K events receive a t-shirt and a complimentary lunch following the race. Children participating in the Kids Fun Run receive a race number and a medal upon completing their run.
In addition to the races, the event features a variety of community activities available from the morning through the early afternoon. These include a rock climbing wall, inflatable sports, face painting, a petting zoo, and construction machine displays. There is also a DJ for entertainment and a tie-dye station. These activities and the lunch are available to both race participants and spectators. The event benefits HopeKids MN. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
