Montgomery Whitewater Hootenanny 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run
The Hootenanny 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run takes place in Montgomery, Alabama, at Montgomery Whitewater. This event marks the start of the spring season and includes land-based running events followed by various water-based activities and entertainment. The races are open to participants of all ages, and pet owners are permitted to bring four-legged companions.

The running portion of the day begins on land. Following the completion of the runs, the venue hosts additional activities including live music, Boater X, Ducky X, and a Pool Float Race.
Packet pick-up is available on the Friday afternoon before the event at the Montgomery Whitewater Main Breezeway Entry, located near the Outfitter Store. On the day of the race, a check-in and packet pick-up window is also provided. Registered participants may receive a race t-shirt, though this is only guaranteed for those who complete their registration by the specified cutoff date of March 6. The event is scheduled to proceed regardless of rain, although the organizers reserve the right to cancel for safety in the event of extreme weather.
